As the year of 2012 ends, I wish for the world love, peace and happiness.

This morning as I work trying to get my craft room organized, I came across these 2 pictures I have had for years. I call them my Valentine Angels. They look so sweet and innocent. When my grandchildren were younger, I loved to make pictures for each one.

It is so cold in Georgia. The wind is blowing so hard outside and as I look out the windows the tree limbs are rocking away. I have some large trees in front and back. We did not have much cold weather last year. As I look at TV and see all the snow north of here it makes me think I am glad I do not live there. My friend's family is in Boston and are supposed to come home next week. The children are out of school for another week. We are beginning a New Year in a few days. I hope it brings peace to the world. There are so many conflicts in the world at this time, and I would like for everyone to have peace and joy. I have been so lucky to have a wonderful and loving family to support me. My friends are the greatest. To be able to laugh and have a great time is a thing that many people in the world does not have. To all the people who are viewing my blog, I wish you a Happy New Year and great wishes for the year 2013.

Christmas day 2012 is almost over. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. The children are probably worn out from the excitement they had this morning. My grandchildren who are teenagers were excited from their gifts. I guess we never get over the excitement of Christmas. The little ones are so excited when they see what Santa Claus has brought them. Their little faces are gleaming from ear to ear. I am ready for the new year and the wonders of what may come. As the year has almost ended, I am ready and excited. Their are projects I am looking forward to. Right now I need to clean up my house. Red threads are everywhere in my crafting room, jewelry pieces laying everywhere, bags and boxes are here and there. My cricut machine and Big Kick have paper on laying on top. I ready to take down all the christmas decorations. When it is over, I am ready to do something else. Good nite to everyone, Faye

I had a wonderful day with my daughters' and their families. The food was great, especially the desserts. My grandaughter made a lavender cake and it was delicious.
I am going to put on my pj's and see how to work my new Lenovo.

Merry Christmas to all and good night.

Just a few more days and people will be opening gifts from their love ones. I love opening gifts regardless what time of the year it is. The biggest Christmas surprise I remember was when I was a small child. I had an aunt who lived in Mississippi and she came home to visit my grandparents one Christmas. Her husband was serving in the army at that time. Christmas day I opened the gift she had brought me. It was the biggest doll I had ever seen. She never had any children so all the children in the family new she would have something for each one. She remained my favorite aunt till she passed away.
I am thankful for my two daughters and their families. Hope everyone has a great family to spend time with. I send my love to each of you.

It has been a sad weekend and one we probably will never forget. The children that were so loved by their parents, relatives and friends. Christmas is only a few days away, but in our hearts it is the time we have the beautiful children who have lost their lives to someone they did not know.

May God give love and peace to all the parents, relatives and friends to our new ANGELS!

This is a tree I have in front of my big window. The colors are mostly gold and bronze.
This is my biggest Christmas Tree. All the ornaments on the tree I made this year. Since I could not find my original ones, I used these. The photographs are my grandchildren. Their pictures always go on my tree.
These Chili Pepper lights are hanging on my kitchen  window. For years I had Chili Pepper lights that were given to me by a friend in Arizona. Have always used them on a special tree. This year I went to get my Christmas decorations and could not find any of them. Still have not found them. I happen to be at Lowe's one day and behold there were Chili Pepper lights in my sight. I bought them immediately and put them up where I could see them all the time. Love my Chili Pepper lights.
This is one of my favorite ornaments. I lived in Arizona for many years and loved the west. Always  looking looking for objects that represented the west. This ornament remains on my Queen Anne chest all the time. Sometimes it gets turned around, but soon it is put back in the direction it should be.

Another beautiful picture from "The Feathered Nest".

This is a beautiful Christmas picture from "The Feathered Nest"

Sunday, December 9, 2012

This ornament was made with folded paper in shape of a circle. I added another circle on top that was created with my Cricut machine. I love the Cricut. It can do so much. On top of the black and white circle I added a christmas sticker. At the top of the ornament I punched a small opening and added a cord to hang on the tree.
I am always trying new things. Below the green chevron ornament, there is a container painted gold with white sheer ribbon surrounding it. This is a fried onion container which had the label removed. The ribbon was glued around the can. As you can see the ribbon had flowers. It was part of the ribbon. I added  more white flowers around the can. In the opening, I added twigs and pieces of paper to make it stand out.
This ornament was created from green chevron paper and the Martha Stewart edge punch. It has it's on nest in the tree.

I took white cardstock that had been shaped in this design. Used alcohol inks to get the color, added glitter, christmas stickers and a ribbon at top to hang on tree.
This is something different I decided to do. It is a cross that I covered with toile paper, added paper that I had cut out with the new Martha Stewart edge puncher. Added wings from BigKick and a bow made from burlap ribbon. The final thing I added was a Jilibean Soup bean blossom in beige and brown.

In a few short days I am to share with you pictures of the things in my house I have made. I have always made things for my house and daughters homes. Also I will be sharing recipes I have loved over the years. There are so many things I would love to you as each day goes by. Faye
Look at the beautiful door in this barn. It seems to be in use. I love the old wagon wheels surrounding the door and the flowers that are blooming.
I have always been told that hanging a horseshoe upside down would bring luck. The farmer that hung the horseshoe probably was thinking the same thing.
This barn has been painted red over the years. I love the window with the hay. The hay seems to say I want out.
The color of this barn I love. The bicycle ...........I wonder if this barn is used today?
This barn is so small. What was put in this barn?
As I look at this barn I see the doors that have an X in each panel. I wonder if they are made that way for a reason?
It is amazing to see the roofs on some of these barnes. I know in some parts of the country barns are sloped where snow will not build up and cause the top to cave in. This barn looks like it is in a mountain range.
This barn is built of rocks. I wonder if someone lived in the top part of it? It seems to have a double doors at the top.
I have often wondered why so many barns are painted red. My grandfather's barn was never painted. I loved going into the barn with him to milk the cows. Yes, I could milk a cow.
This barn seems to be sitting out in a field in the middle of nowhere.
As stated before I love old trucks, barns and windows. As I searched I found this barn door with a wreath placed on one of the doors.

Another truck that has been painted many times.
This is a very old truck.
How many times do you think this truck has been painted?
Sitting out in someone's field.
Rusted old car.
A truck all dented and sitting out somewhere.
Tonight, I am showing old trucks. As the years have gone by,  I always look in the yards of peoples homes to see if there are any old trucks. My dad had a green truck and my daughers' would ride with him and stand up in the truck on the seat. Never thought about them getting hurt.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I tried not to eat so much food. Everthing was so good.

Went by Michael's on the way home. Could not believe the people in line. Also, the same way at the toy store. People were sitting in chairs with their coolers and blankets. Found out later the toy store opens at 8pm.

I do not plan to shop on Black Friday. Just too many people for me.

Goodnite
