I am so proud of my youngest grandson, Mitt IV. He has been Pole-Vaulting for several years and has won many trophies for his Pole-Vaulting. Has participated in national competitions and this past week he won second place in the State of Georgia AAA Pole-Vaulting competition. His personal record was broken that day. With 3 more years in high school, we are hoping he will break many more records.

As today comes to a closure, I am very sad. A very dear friend I have known all my life passed away this morning. Jackie Dean was a very gentle person who loved everyone. His life had a lot of sad moments, but he was one of those people who would say "That's the way it is". As a child he was faced with polio. His arm was crippled, but that did not stop him from doing the things he wanted to do. He was part of the gang. His heart was broken many times, but he continually to fall in love. Still looked like the Jackie Dean as we all knew him in high school.

We will miss you, but I know where your spirit lives at this time. LOVE YOU, JACKIE DEAN.

I hope everyone had a great Easter. So glad we have warmer weather. All the plants are blooming and soon everything will be green again. Maybe, next weekend I will get ferns and place them at different spots. Ferns are one of my favorite things to put around the house.
Had lunch with my daughter and grandaughter. The twins have gone to the beach with their dad and grandparents. My oldest grandaughter has college classes next week. She will work in the office with me and her Aunt Lisa.
My jewelry makings are scattered all over my house. Tried to straighten some of my things out, but it is hard to do when I use everything over and over.

This necklace is done in blues. I did not have enough beads to do a bracelet. All my necklaces range in price $30.00 to $45.00. Probably could sell them higher in other areas, but knowing what my customers will pay is something I think about in construction  of the jewelry.
Another necklace done in greens All my necklaces are approximately 17 1/2 inches long.
This necklace I made for myself. It has pearls, crystals and a coin with crystals surrounding the coin. The coin is something I have had for sometime. I made one for the boutique but on a smaller scale. I like big jewelry.
This is done in greens. The round beads have a touch of yellow in the center.

The boutique that sells my jewelry requested this color. They have blues, greens, orange and other colors in clothing, bags and shoes. This has a necklace, earrings and bracelet. I only make one of a kind. Will use the same color, but only 1 set.
This is one of my favorites. It has blue and green beads. There is a necklace, earrings and a bracelet. I make all my bracelets 7 to 8 inches in length. It has a die-cut mounted on chipboard that has been painted blue.
This is one of the new necklaces I made with Pearls, and Crystals. It sold the first day.

I am so ready for Spring. So glad that my arm has healed and I can get back to a normal life. It is so hard to do things with a broken arm. Especially the one that you use all the time. I love to dance and have not gone to the dances for almost three months. We older people love to meet and have great fun. It is nice to know you have been missed at these functions. You might not know all the people, but most of the time you know their first names.

Have so many projects I want to do. First, the jewelry comes no. 1. I still work 3 or 4 days a week. Life is never boring.
Another set that I made using the orange, light yellow and crystal beads. I have so many beads to string. My daughter was over yesterday to see what I had made. My jewelry makings are all over the place. I wonder what and if I had a husband he would say? I love what I do with my jewelry and crafts.
I was asked to make some jewelry with green and orange. This is one of the sets that I made with those colors.
This shows up a little better. It was made with pink and silver beads, crystals and pearls. Necklace, earrings and bracelet.
This is a new necklace, bracelet and earrings I made last week. It is made with pearls and crystals. Picture not very good but the boutique where I sell my jewelry loves the way I put it together.

As I close for tonight, I would like to share a picture of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This was one of the most exciting things for me to do as I went to the top. It was such a funny feeling. You felt like you were on top of a cloud. The time was in April and the weather was cold and rainy. I loved Paris and the other beautiful cities in Europe.
Beautiful Easter Eggs. I love decorating Easter Eggs. There are so many ways to decorate eggs. Now that we have all kinds of paints and decorations to put on eggs, our imagination can go wild. I so remember the egg colors we would buy and decorate the eggs. They seemed so blah, but that was all we had.
This is a picture I discovered today looking through door and window pictures. I have always loved old door and window pictures. It is amazing to see how doors and windows are built in the countries of the world. In the countries where I have traveled the windows and doors were always fascinating to me.
I have daffodils blooming in my front yard at this time. When will Spring get to Georgia? My Yellow Bell bushes are blooming as well. Ready for Spring.
When I lived in Arizona the sunsets were  unbelieveable beautiful. Living in Arizona was so different from Georgia. When I first moved to Arizona I asked people why so few lights in subdivisions and the answer I was given ......the stars are so beautiful and the street lights take away from the beauty of the stars. Another thing I noticed the beauty of the Roses. They seemed to thrive in the Arizona climate. There are so many things I love about living in the desert as my children would say. I never thought it as the desert. When I first moved to Arizona, I had pine trees in my back yard. This was Scottsdale.  A beautiful place to live.
Today, while going through my messages there was an email from free-card making ideas. It had a lot of ideas on card making. Thought I was put a message on my blog to anyone who might be interested.

I love this fabric pattern. So refreshing with the black, white, blue, green and pink.
It is Sunday nite. Hope everyone has had a great day! I did go out to the grocery store. Needed a few things. I think I have the crude. We will see tomorrow if I am feeling good or need to stay in bed. Thought I was not going to get it. Everyone have a great week!

Saturday, March 2, 2013

I love these beautiful Kerr jars that are painted different colors with spring flowers. So ready for spring. It is so cold and windy in Georgia. Sprinkling of snow but it did not stick.

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

For the past few months I have been collecting old bottles. Have decorated a few and gave them to friends. I wished I could go to the liquor store and ask people for their beautiful bottles, but they probably would tell me go jump in a lake. Maybe, soon I will put some of my decorated bottles on the web.  People probably think I am a weirdo. Always asking for bottles, old thread spools, and anything I see making something beautiful. People always tell me I can make something out of nothing.
Can you imagine having all these beautiful cupcakes before you? I can see myself biting into these hoping no one is looking. I usually do not eat a lots of sweets, but these make me crave cupcakes.
This color reminds me so much of spring. It is such a refreshing color and the thought of Spring coming next month makes me shout YEA. I know we need the rain and am thankful for it, but I need sunshine. Sunshine makes me happy.

Monday, February 25, 2013

I love old churches. This one reminds me of a black church in my hometown. Every Sunday the church was filled with the dressed up in their Sunday best, even had on gloves and hats. Most of the men had on work pants and some had on suits and ties. The children were always dressed up in their Sunday clothes.I would sit out on the front porch to hear them sing and preach. I love to hear them sing those old songs. They would have their fans, because there was no air condition in the church.

I love this heart. It could be given to anyone to show love and friendship.

Hooray, I have this cast off. The Dr. gave me a wrist cuff to wear in the daytime, and at night I remove it. It is so nice to get in the shower without the garbage bag around my arm. It still hurts somewhat to use the computer. Have been making a lot of moves to exercise this arm. So happy. Maybe I can get back to normal again.

Sunday, February 17, 2013

Hopefully, next Thursday I can get this cast removed. Would love to visit the Fairhope Arts and Craft Festival next month.
To everyone have a great week!

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I am hoping to get this cast off my arm next week. Have accepted the fact I might not. It is surprising to learn  you can do more than you expected. To eat with my left hand might take longer, but I can do better than I thought. Hope soon I can get back into the swing of things.

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

It is Thursday night, February 6. Just a note to say, I still have problems typing with this broken wrist.

Monday, February 4, 2013

It is Monday, February,4 2013.This morning I went back to the Dr. my arm has been botthering me this past weekend. Had to take the cast off and put on a new one. I feel so helpless. At least 2 more week to wear th is contration.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I have not posted to my blog in several days. It is so hard to type with this broken wrist. In a few days, hopefully, I can get back to a routine. There is so much I want to talk about, but at this time I will have to wait. It is funny how things happen when you have all these great plans and then something happens and WHOA your plans are put on hold.

I have a new blog design that was created by a wonderful person. Hope you like the design. Looking forward to add many things to this new blog.

I broke my wrist!

I am having a difficult typing on the computer. On Thursday I fell and broke my wrist. It is not painful, but difficult to type. The cast covers most of the fingers and hard for me to do anything that involves my fingers.

My daughter loves owls. This is a funny one done in pink. I thought this morning I would add it to my blog. It makes you smile to look at it. She is away for this weekend and hopefully she will see it next week. The sun is shining this morning and the temperature is a little chilly.

This is a rooster added to a wreath for my daughter. She loves Roosters. I added all types of silk flowers, sticks and just about anything I could put on the wreath. The Rooster was big and it took a lot of wire to attach it.

Another picture I made with pressed leaves. I have many trees surrounding my home. The fig tree I love. This past summer it was full of figs. The deer and birds love this tree. I Try to pick the figs as soon as possible. This is a smaller frame which I painted green. I took a nail and scratched up the sides then put a sealer on top of the frame. Inserted cream cardstock that had a design, added my leaves, glass and backing. It is hanging in my bathroom.
This is a picture I made using a very heavy frame. Put several coats of paint and kept sanding it down till I got the look I wanted. I love ferns and every summer I press them for projects I am working on. This one is a copy of a fern I bought at Scott's flea market. The fern copy was the right size for my frame. This is hanging in my bathroom. I move things around, so I never know where I might hang the picture in the future.
This is a free image of a little french girl.

Love the word Valentine. The word itself sounds so full of love and sweetness.
As it is getting closer to Valentine's Day, I want to show some valentine cards. These are copy-fre.
This is a picture of feathers of many kinds and colors. I love it. It is listed in copy free.
Tonight I am going to share some of the pictures I have in my house.

Sunday, January 13, 2013

This is a collection of gift tags. When I saw all these copy-free pictures today, I wanted to download and share them with everyone.
This reminds me of the pictures my daughter has in her bedroom. She has a large selection of these.
I love to see a bird nest. Each summer I have birds to build a nest in my ferns on the front porch. When the ferns die I love to look for the nests that have built.
Another copy-free tag. This one has beautiful eggs. How beautiful would this be on a gift?
This is a copy of a bird picture used on a tag. I love to have tags to use as gift items, book markers and just to give. People always love tags. These are copy-free tags.
This is a free copy picture of a french girl. This afternoon I have been searching for copy free pictures. I will be sharing some with you. Hope you enjoy.
It has been a warm two days in Georgia. Yesterday, the sun was shining bright and my grandson came and cut my lawn. I have large trees covering my lawn and with an acre of grass the lawn was covered in leaves. So glad it got done. This picture of the butterflys remind of spring. This print I found on a copy-free website. This morning, a beautiful Cardinal was perched on my Azalea bushes. It did not stay long, a squirrel was trying to catch the beautiful bird.

This is a gorgeous picture with the colors of gray and gold. A great way to greet someone when they enter your home. This was taken from Toby Fairley Designs.
Doors and windows are things I love. On Pinterest I have a lot of doors and windows. When I am traveling doors and windows are something that I always seek. They are so fascinating to me.
